maybe the best one is cutting wood and dropping huge trees down in a ditch or wherever and then why not cut em up in the field just drive down to them (if you could get there) and then hook up a few long chains to the tree and one end on the TRUCK (a 85 chevy s 10 4wd) then drop the clutch heck you could get a good run at it and make the back tires come off the ground. it would take a few tries but finally the tree would be out in the open and easy to cut and load. it was hilarious and the smile on dads face when the chain came taught was the BEST.  and when i drove and he watched it was better to watch him than the truck because he was so proud. god love him.

Just been thinking about how much I miss you. Wishing you were here. Everytime I see  someone in a field I think of you, i miss your stories your laugh. It's been 4 years but I still remember that chuckle of yours. Miss you lots...miss just talking to you.

I was thinking of you today, dad. Uncle Steve gave all of us a picture of you on your Ford tractor that you restored. It made me smile because you were so proud of that tractor. I also learned that it was the same model as the first tractor you ever drove, I never realized that! But it made me think of the night the shop burned down... and your restored tractor with it. I remember standing there on that cold December night, watching someplace that held soooo many memories go up in flames. It broke my heart, and when I learned that your Ford was in the shop at the time, I couldn't help but shed tears for you.  And of course you being the person you were, you just put your arm around me and said, "Oh Carrie don't cry, it was only a tractor, I can always do another one, It really isn't a big deal." And then you were off again to help the firefighters rip more metal from the blaze. As I watched you I was so proud, I know you had worked very hard, not only on the tractor, but also on so many things through the years in that shop and now it was gone. Yo had not always had the easiest time farming but, you always stuck it out. You could have chosen to be bitter but, you weren't it was just another hurdle to pass.I hope that I have learned from you that no matter what you can always move forward, and move on from whatever struggles come our way. I am so proud that you are my DAD!

Your loving daughter,

Three Christmas's have gone by

and yet tears still fill my eyes

Some happy, some sad

but yes, I still miss my DAD

The tree is up, the lights all on

but something's missing, someone's gone

We remember Christmas' passed

You being Dad, Your smile, Your laugh

Just thinking about them brings us joy

Like a small child opening his favorite toy

I imagine Christmas in Heaven is better by far

but still I wish you were where we are

I guess it's just mym way to still miss you so much

I just want one last time to have a Fathers love

Merry Christmas in Heaven Dad

                     LOVE YOUR DAUGHTER,
