Dad, I am sure didn't know how much he would be missed, not only by family but many friends. We will always remember his goofy smile and his laugh. One thing I remember the most about my dad is how much fun and joy he gave us growing up. And this past summer how much fun Maddie, Ellen and I had with him and mom at the pool at their home. Dad would come in from the field and just jump right in, my kids are so fortunate that they had a grandpa who took the time to just have fun and be a kid. Too many of us take life too seriously but DAD always just smiled and made a joke, and I think that is his true legacy that he gave to me. And though I wish for just one more day with him, I know it cannot be and so I just imagine what he would do and say, With a smile " I'm okay don't worry about me"  well Dad I love you and will never forget how you were, A good husband, a great DAD and a fun & loving grandpa.
