Dad, it seems so odd that you aren't here with harvest time just around the corner.  I ahave missed your stories so much and how it seems you could always make me laugh.  Ellen & Madeline will be going to Industry school as we are planning on moving.  I wish you were here to share in that as I always appreciated your advice & how much you made difficult times go smoother for the girls & I, like when we moved to Rushville you dropped everything to help us my our lives will always be different, but we were all soooo blessed by you and your laghter and I suppose that is how I get through although some days itseems unbearable to know I can;t go out to moms and joke around with you, and the girls miss you you were such a wonderful grandpa & I know all the grandkids miss you.

I love you and know you are watching over us all still like always.

LOVE YA DAD

dad, i have so many great memories of times shared with you and every time i think of you i remember a new story.  i wish i could write them all down it would be very interesting.  the thing i miss the most with you is sitting in the shed we built together and just talking about farming, hunting, cars or just listening to your stories or telling you stories of my own.  we always laughed.  i am sure that all of us miss you very much but it makes us smile to remember you and i am sure that we are all happier people for having known you dad. love jon

Dear Uncle Jim,
Today we were at Grandma and Grandpa's house looking through pictures of Grandma Reeder. It's been really hard losing Grandma Reeder and knowing you won't be there to comfort.  As we were looking through the old photo albums there were so many pictures of you as a young boy. You were so cute and as you grew  you got to be a very handsome young man. I'm so blessed to have had you for an uncle. We'll miss you during the visitation and funeral this weekend.
Love you,
Laura

Dad,

Mom, Maddie Ellen & I went to Quincy Yesterday to visit Jon & Dawn. It was hard knowing you aren't here to get to share these things w/ us, Jon has a really nice place & the girls were so good. I know as time goes on things will get easier to deal with, but my heart will always ache to just hear your laugh or see your smile or just have you to visit with.  Ellen still misses you so much, as she says papa was my best buddy, madeline deals w/ it differently, she is more subdued, but when we were swimming today she said she really misses you being out there with us.  We are all so heart broken and some days it still seems like I will pull in the drive & you'll be there walking across drive to get the girls out of the car, with your big smile and wave.  I know we all miss & love you,
